The Rovinj-based Adris tourism and insurance group plans to renovate the Hotel Marjan in Split by the spring of 2026 by removing a greater part of the present hotel and building a new one, which will cost over €100 million, the CEO of the group's Maistra hotel chain, Tomislav Popović, announced in Split on Tuesday.

He said that the building permit had been issued and that the existing structure of the Hotel Marjan was expected to be removed before the end of this year.

The new hotel is due to open in the spring of 2026.

"The Hotel Marjan will be restored to its original form to the greatest possible extent," Popović said.

Studio 3LHD from Zagreb will be in charge of the hotel's architecture, while the interior design will be entrusted to Lissoni Architettura from Milan, which was involved in the construction of the Grand Park Hotel in Rovinj.

The new Hotel Marjan will be a 5-star hotel with 285 accommodation units and an underground car park with 285 parking places.
