Alps-Adria Working Community marks its 30th anniversary in Karlovac The 30th anniversary of the Working Community of the Alps-Adria Regions was celebrated at a special session of its group for tourism in Karlovac on Friday.
Croatian Assistant Tourism Minister Zelimir Kramaric said that the principles and goals of this community "are today lasting values of the united Europe".

Croatian tourism to be advertised on BBC, CNN, Euronews, Eurosport this springCroatian tourism will be advertised on BBC World News and Euronews from mid-March to the end of May this year, after its promotion has been made on CNN and Eurosport for several years, the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) said recently. Sea water at Croatian beaches excellent for swimming The results of the first sea water quality tests undertaken this season show that the water at 1,144 beaches along the Croatian Adriatic coast is of excellent quality, bathing conditions are good at 16 beaches and satisfactory at nine beaches, Croatia's Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction, said on Tuesday. Testing was conducted from 1 to 29 May. The results are available on the ministry's website at www.mzopu.hr. The testing of sea bathing water quality is conducted throughout the summer season.

Minister Bajs expects results of this year's tourist season to be as last year's or slightly lowerThe government commission coordinating and monitoring tourism-related activities in Croatia said on Saturday it expected the results of this year"s tourist season to be the same as last year"s or slightly lower. "We hope to achieve results that will be the same as last year"s or slightly lower, which, considering the present global economic situation, would be a success," Tourism Minister Damir Bajs said. Bajs also said that this year most tourists were staying in camps and in private accommodation, while the number of those staying in hotels was lower than last year.
