Minister says tourist sector can expect EUR 410 mln of investments in 2014

Investments in Croatia's tourism sector this year will amount to approximately EUR 410 million, Tourism Minister Darko Lorencin said in the northern Adriatic town of Rovinj on Wednesday, adding that he expected another good tourist season.

The minister said that last year's investments amounted to EUR 230 million.

If we rely on relevant indicators such as fairs then we have another good season ahead of us, the minister said.

Lorencin declined to comment on media reports about possible replacement of the head of the Croatian Board of Tourism (HTZ), Meri Matesic.
