Croatia, Italy, Albania and Montenegro promote cooperation in tourism

A project launched by four Adriatic countries - Albania, Montenegro, Croatia and Italy - in order to strengthen tourism services, was presented in Zagreb on Friday marking the conclusion of that initiative aimed at enhancing tourism services in the Italian Emilia-Romagna and Marche regions and in Albania, Croatia and Montenegro.

The project, launched last year, was presented at the second 'Place2Go' international tourism fair, which is running until March 17 in Zagreb's 'Bocarski Dom' bowling club.

Croatia's participant in the project is the Rijeka branch of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and as a representative of the HGK Sandra Filipovic said, the project was aimed at improving the quality of services and at connecting tourism companies in each of the participating countries.

Last October the Modena Chamber of Commerce organised a presentation for Italian tourism companies that operate in Albania, Montenegro and Croatia presenting opportunities for trade and investments in these countries.

Italian companies showed a great deal of interest then for joint ventures at third markets, Filipovic explained.

The 'Place2Go' fair has attracted more than 168 exhibitors from 17 countries who are presenting new trends in tourism, the range of services offered, prices of holiday packages, air fares and accommodation offers. (Hina)
