Croatian hotels the Dubrovnik Palace in Dubrovnik and Le Meridien Lav in Split have been voted Europe's best hotel resort and best casino resort by the organization World Travel Awards.
The award-giving ceremony for Europe was held recently in Antalya, Turkey, whose hotels, tourist companies and destinations won the most awards this year, more than ten in slightly over 60 categories.
Known in the industry as travel Oscars, World Travel Awards have been given since 1993 for achievement in all segments of the global tourism sector. (Hina)
