Sebastien Ogier wins Croatia Rally

The current, seven-time world champion, French Sebastien Ogier (Toyota), on Sunday won the first edition of Croatia Rally, the third round of the World Rally Championship (WRC).

Before the last speed test, Welsh Elfyn Evans had a 3.9 second advantage over Ogier but at the last bend he made a mistake and missed the chance for victory by only six-tenths of a second.

This was Ogier's 51st victory.

Belgian Thierry Neuville (Hyndai) was third, finishing 8.1 seconds after Ogier.

The WRC event, the first to be held in Croatia, was driven on a 1,279-kilometre route, of which 300 kilometres were 20 speed tests at ten locations. (Hina/FaH)
