Tourism and Sports Minister Nikolina Brnjac on Friday took over duties from former tourism minister Gari Cappelli, saying her first goal would be to ensure the stability of the tourism sector.
Brnjac underlined the importance of tourism and sports for the economy and Croatia's global recognisability.
"Tourism should be positioned as well as possible in the next financial perspective of the EU so that it can remain the flagship of the Croatian economy," she said.
Brnjac also took over duties from the state secretary for sports, Tomislav Druzak, and announced the adoption of a new law on sports.
