Agreement signed to promote children's rights in tourism sector

The Ministry of Tourism, the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) and UNICEF earlier this week signed a cooperation agreement to promote children's rights in Croatia's tourism sector, and on this occasion it was announced that the Arena Hospitality Group would support UNICEF's initiative "For a Stronger Family".

The main purpose of the cooperation agreement is to encourage good practice with regard to visitors' children, children of families working in the tourism sector, and young students and workers, UNICEF said in a statement.

The signatories will promote the importance of care for children's rights in the tourism sector through conferences and other events and will organise workshops on children's rights for tourism workers.

The Ministry of Tourism and the HTZ will support UNICEF's programmes aimed at the most vulnerable children and their families in Croatia.

The signing ceremony was attended by Minister of Tourism Gari Cappelli, HTZ Director-General Kristjan Stanicic and the head of the UNICEF Croatia Office, Regina M. Castillo.
