Croatia has won three American Travvy Awards for 2019 - the silver for Best European Destination and the bronze for Best Destination Overall, while the Croatian Tourism Board (HTZ) took the silver for Best Tourism Board in Europe, the HTZ said earlier this week. The annual Travvy Awards, presented by travAlliancemedia on the basis of votes by US tour operators and travel agents, recognise the highest standards of excellence in the travel industry by honouring travel companies, travel agencies, travel products and destinations for their outstanding achievement.
This year, the awards were given based on more than 120,000 votes, the largest voting block of agents in history.
The gold for Best European Destination went to Greece and the bronze to England. Australia received the gold and Barbados the silver for Best Destination Overall. Switzerland captured the gold for Best Tourism Board in Europe.
"Our aim is to further strengthen Croatia's position on the market by implementing key promotional activities to maintain the growth trends in America, a market where we generate the highest turnover when it comes to remote countries," HTZ director Kristjan Stanicic said. (Hina)
