Number of foreign cruise ships visiting Croatia down

The number of foreign cruise ships visiting the Croatian Adriatic was downin November, as well as in most of the months of 2017, compared to 2016. A total of 677 foreign cruise ships visited Croatia in the first eleven months of 2017, down 17 percent (136 cruise ships) compared with the same period in 2016, carrying 936,500 passengers or 14 percent fewer than last year, figures from the National Bureau of Statistics show.

The foreign cruise ships spent 1,437 days in the Croatian Adriatic, which is 18 percent (or 310 days) less than in the first eleven months of 2016. Most of them sailed under the flags of the Bahamas, Malta and Italy. 

As in the previous years, most of the vessels visited Dubrovnik (530). Split and Korcula followed with 223 and 129 visits respectively.
