Dubrovnik prepares "food-groaning table" to mark tourist season's end

A 120-metre-long table full with various dishes was set up along Dubrovnik's landmark street Stradun on Sunday to mark the end of the high tourist season in this southern Croatian city.

Some 90 exhibitors prepared their dishes for the table groaning with food.

The local tourist authorities boasted on this occasion that the number of tourist arrivals rose this season by 11% to over 930,000 and the overnight stays of guests exceeded three millions.
