Savudria: Contract between Skipper Hotels and Kampinski Hotels

The two companies, Skiper Hotels from Savudria and the prestigious Kampinski Hotels from Geneve, have signed today a contract in Savudria, Istria.
With this contract Kampinski Hotels is taking over the management of the tourist resort whose building will be finalized by Skiper Hotels by the end of 2008.

The resort will be located in Alberi. Skiper Hotels has agreed to proceed with the construction of the complex which will include a 5 star hotel (120 rooms), 29 luxurious villas, one congress center, one marina and one golf course (19 holes).
The value of the investment will be around HRK 750 million.

The executive director of Kempinski Hotels, Michael Novatin said that they were very pleased about their coming to Croatia and Istria. He also stated that they were planning to become market leaders in Croatian tourism by broadening their activities to other parts of Croatia like Zagreb and Dubrovnik.
The State Secretary for sea, tourism, transport and development, Zdenko Mičić said that this was yet another proof that Croatia could become an interesting destination for those tourists seeking more luxurious accommodation and service. He added that Kempinski was a well known brand and that this partnership could open the door for other interesting partnerships.

The Kempinski Company was founded in 1897 in Germany and today it owns and operates an international portfolio of 60 hotels throughout 19 countries.
